Website redesign for startups and SMEs

Website redesign for startups and SMEs: clear, fast and built to be found and to convince

Redoing a website is more than redoing the design: first you need to know what it should say, and to whom.

An ageing site, a blurry message or pages that are hard to update hold your business back. I design and build your website around your goals, with or without a brand strategy beforehand: you choose.

Signs it is time to redesign your website

  • The message no longer reflects what you offer today.
  • Visitors arrive but do not get in touch.
  • You cannot edit your pages without help.
  • The site is hard to find on Google or slow on mobile.

What the redesign includes

  • Structure and messaging

The pages, their order, and the copy that explains your offer clearly.

  • Design

A visual identity consistent with your brand, easy to read on mobile and desktop.

  • Build and SEO

A site you can edit yourself, with the SEO fundamentals in place.

The redesign process, step by step

  • Week 1

    1. Goals and audit

Your objectives, your audience, and an audit of the current site.

  • Weeks 1 to 2

    2. Structure and messaging

The pages, their order and the copy.

  • Weeks 2 to 3

    3. Design

Visual identity applied to each template, mobile first.

  • Weeks 3 to 4

    4. Build

Development on a site you can edit yourself.

  • Week 4

    5. SEO migration and launch

    Redirects, tests and go-live.

  • After launch

    6. Measure

    Monitoring and adjustments.

Loop Presence runs over 30 days. The timeline depends on the number of pages and on whether your content is ready.

SEO migration checklist

  • List every URL of the current site before changing anything.
  • Map each old URL to its new page and set up 301 redirects.
  • Keep the titles, descriptions and headings of pages that already rank, and improve them where needed.
  • Carry over structured data and internal links.
  • Submit the new sitemap in Google Search Console.
  • Check broken links and 404 errors in the days after launch.
  • Test speed and mobile display.
  • Monitor traffic and rankings for the first weeks.

Visible to AI answer engines too

More and more people ask assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, or read AI-generated answers in Google. So that your site can be understood and cited by these tools, I build the basics of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) into the redesign:

  • Clear answers: headings phrased as real questions, with a direct answer in the first lines.
  • A readable structure: a clean heading hierarchy, with content in the page code rather than hidden behind scripts.
  • Structured data: markup for your organisation, services and FAQs, so machines understand who you are and what you offer.
  • A consistent identity: the same name, description and links (LinkedIn, etc.) everywhere, so you are recognised as a reliable entity.

No method guarantees being cited by an AI, but these good practices also improve classic SEO and the visitor experience.

What I did on my own site

I apply the same principles to loopinyourbrand.com: one H1 per page, FAQ questions written as real headings with a direct answer, structured data (services, offers and a profile of me as the author) and a consistent identity across pages and profiles. It is the same groundwork I build into your redesign.

Platforms and price

I build on WordPress, which I use for this site. If you are on another platform, tell me and we decide together whether to stay or move.

Website work is part of Loop Presence, from €3,500 (website strategy and structure, with design and development as options). The final price depends on the number of pages and on what you add. See the packages.

With or without a brand strategy

If your positioning is already clear, we can go straight to designing the site. If not, it is better to set it first, so the website expresses something precise. Either way, the decision is yours. You can also start with the free audit session to see more clearly.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a brand strategy before the redesign?

No, it is optional. If your message is already defined, I can design and build the site directly.

What is AEO, and is it included?

AEO means structuring your site so answer engines and AI assistants understand it well. The basics (clear answers, headings, structured data) are part of the redesign.

What happens to my current search rankings?

It is planned before launch: we identify the important pages so you do not lose what already works.

Will I be able to edit my website myself?

Yes, the site is built so you can update your content without a developer.
